What We Do
At BSC, we take the complicated and make it simple. Your records, files, and space are all simplified. If it’s in your organization and you can touch it, we help you store it, track it and retrieve it using less space and time than you ever thought possible.
How We Help Architects and Designers
Our goal is simple. To help you better help your clients and to make your life a little simpler. We consult with you and/or your client…determining how much stuff they have to store and designing the best application for storing that stuff. We provide space planning (CAD drawings), load studies and specifications for you on our product applications. We work with your structural engineers to make sure that our product doesn’t go through the floor. At the end of the day, our goal is to work with you to create efficient workspaces by providing the right equipment at the right time. It’s that simple.

The process of designing a space for a storage solution:
BSC has partnered with architects, general contractors, and interior designers as a subcontractor for many years. BSC takes some of the leg work off their plate to make life a little easier. The first thing that needs to take place during the design phase of the project is determining the system size, height requirements, ADA guidelines, floor load/weight determinations (if on an upper level), etc. BSC will evaluate how much “stuff” the customer is trying to store in LFI ( linear filing inches) and storage capacities allowing room for growth in the years to come. Determining what the customer/end user is trying to store is important in determining the type of storage solution they need. BSC represents different solution offerings to ensure that the customer is getting best fit according to their need analysis.
Once the determination is made about how much “stuff” they are trying to store, we can then begin the drawings/layouts. Many times the room sizes will be determined on the height, width and depth of the shelving system allowing room for doors, aisle ways and walkways. BSC will supply drawings of the system that can be configured so that the architect can drop it into their CAD program.
BSC can supply the CSI specifications to the architect so that it can be easily placed in the bid package. Some of the CSI spec sections that BSC can work with them on are:

Once the building is built, BSC will come do the field measurements to make sure the room(s) were built to spec double checking that the storage system will fit in the allocated space. The contractor and architect sign off on the drawings and the product is ordered. The architects/ designers choose the coloring, floor type (if necessary) and the accessories for the system.
BSC is supported by a full staff to help unload the product upon delivery, install the storage system, and service the system after the fact as a turnkey solution. Warranty options are available as well. BSC has experience with AIA paperwork, job site analysis, safety program paperwork, bidder registration forms, etc. BSC will provide an customer, architect and general contractor reference list as needed.
Many times the storage solutions can be purchased off of State Contracts, GSA Contracts or NAVY BPA Contracts that BSC has in place to avoid the bidding process.
